Pokemon trading cards have made a comeback at McDonald’s.
On September 18, the official Pokemon account tweeted “pika pika” along with an image of the Pikachu-themed Happy Meal box, bearing the message “it’s back”. Numerous commenters have confirmed that their nearby McDonald’s locations have already started selling these card packs. In fact, there are already several customers who have taken to social media to showcase their Pokemon card hauls.

Pokebeach, a reliable source for Pokemon leaks, reported on the latest set of cards even before their release in the United States, following their appearance in European countries. The promotion is currently active in the US and is expected to run for a duration of five weeks, concluding on October 16.
Similar to previous Pokemon card promotions at McDonald’s, each Happy Meal includes a booster pack containing four cards. These booster packs may contain any of the 15 Pokemon cards available in this collection, all of which are sourced from the Scarlet and Violet TCG series, with the exception of Pikachu. Out of the four cards received, at least one of them is guaranteed to be holographic. The holographic cards in this collection include Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Cetitan, Pikachu, and Klawf.
Although the demand for Pokemon cards may not be as high as it was during the pandemic, it is still advisable to check the availability of these toys at your local McDonald’s. You can either call them directly or use the McDonald’s app to inquire about the availability of the Pokemon card promotion.
