Check Out The First Trailer And Story Details For Call Of Duty: MW3 Zombies

Treyarch is introducing the Zombies mode to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and the initial trailer and blog post have emerged, revealing the exciting new Operation Deadbolt Zombies storyline. Here is all the information disclosed thus far.

Following the occurrences of Black Ops Cold War’s Dark Aether narrative, Operation Deadbolt was established as a response to the outbreak events witnessed by Requiem operatives during the Cold War events.

In Operation Deadbolt, Task Force 141 must halt Viktor Zakhaev, an adversary from Modern Warfare 2019, who has initiated a Zombies outbreak using a vial of Aetherium. This Zombie-generating substance is akin to the Dark Aether crystals from the previous storyline, but it has now been refined into an even more lethal form. Task Force 141 must uncover Zakhaev’s complete plans for the outbreak and Aetherium.

Leading the operation in Modern Warfare is Kate Laswell, accompanied by Johnny “Soap” MacTavish. They have enlisted the expertise of Captain Sergei Ravenov, a Zombies specialist and Spetsnaz operative aligned with Requiem in the battle against Omega Group in Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies storyline.

According to Activision’s blog post, this iteration of Zombies features both living and undead adversaries. The living threat comes from Terminus Outcomes, a private military company hired by Zakhaev as muscle.

As previously announced, this will not be the traditional round-based Zombies experience. Instead, it will offer an open-world adventure with survival elements and PvE extraction. Similar to Black Ops Cold War’s Outbreak, Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies will include incursion zones in various regions that progressively increase in difficulty. However, Activision assures that the mode will still incorporate core Zombies features, special story missions, and hidden secrets to uncover.

Zombies will be available upon the release of Modern Warfare 3 on November 10. More details regarding multiplayer and Warzone will be unveiled during Call of Duty: Next on October 5. In the meantime, be sure to explore all the previously announced details for Modern Warfare 3.
